Bubbie and Sammi were each rescued from early demise as kittens.
Bubbie was found under a shed on my property, half starved and afraid of everything
and everyone. Sammi (Samantha) was adopted from a local shelter one day
before being "put to sleep." I've also kept one of their offspring, "Gumby" (Gumball)
and have since had them fixed (3 katz are enough in one house). Bubbie
has a goodly amount of Manx blood in his veins, which I'm told is the reason
for his being without a tail and also for his large size and bone mass. He's
a BIG GUY! Sammi is the only cat out of the three with a tail. Gumby is tail-less
like her daddy. I hope you enjoy the images. Feel free to drop me a line if

Gumball ("Gumby") is the only kitten out of two litters I kept. I took one look at
her as a newborn and knew that I'd never part with her. I've had Bubbie and Sammi
"fixed" since then, so Gumby is the last of the bloodline I'll have. She's
tail-less like her father (Bubbie is a Manx-mix) but has a smallish frame like
her momma (Sammi is 100% pure- bred Heinz 57). |

I tried to think up a smart-assed caption for this one, but nothing
I could dream up was adequate. Sometimes a picture speaks louder than words,
I guess. Perhaps Bubbie didn't appreciate my interrupting him whilst he was cleaning his parts? Or... maybe he's impersonating Garfield??? Damifino... |
Sammi more than makes up for the rest of her family's lack of a tail. She is also
the only cat I've ever had that plays "fetch". She brings me her ball in her mouth
when the mood hits her, and returns with it each time I throw it. Maybe the
vet kept her around the puppies to much... |
